CORNERSTONE METHODIST

A JOURNEY OF FAITH

Cornerstone Methodist Church began in a most humble setting – a barn. A group of devoted members from the Cornerstone Sunday School class of another denomination felt called to establish a new church in Cleburne as part of the newly formed Global Methodist Church.

Their first gatherings took place in the barn of one of the founding members, where their shared vision and faith laid the foundation for what was to come. The search for permanent meeting space led to an incredible partnership with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Worshiping on Saturdays, they graciously opened their doors for Cornerstone to hold Sunday services in their beautiful building. Their love and generosity has been overwhelming, blessing Cornerstone in countless ways. Their kindness has truly exemplified the body of Christ in action.

Cornerstone’s first worship service took place on April 16, 2023. Initially streaming sermons from Asbury Church Tulsa, Cornerstone then was led by Interim Pastor Tom Beaty. Next God brought Pastor Adam Mosser to Cornerstone, serving as pastor on a part-time basis. These wonderful pastors made a lasting impact on the congregation.

In October 2024, Cornerstone welcomed full-time Pastor ‘Tunde Oladimeji and his family. Pastor Oladimeji’s arrival marked a new chapter in the church’s journey. From a simple barn gathering to a thriving congregation, God’s hand has been evident in every step of Cornerstone’s story.
