The Advancing Kingdom - We are Unstoppable 15

Rev. Dr. Tunde Oladimeji preached from Genesis 19:1–17 and Luke 10:1–10, reminding us of Jesus’ promise: “I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” Evangelism is simply sharing the good news with those we love. When we were lost, God did not abandon us—He came after us, sending Jesus to save us and the Holy Spirit to guide us daily. The same power that saved us can also transform our enemies.
A powerful church is one in which every believer shares the Gospel. The harvest is not lacking, but the workers are. We must present the Gospel in ways people understand, just as Jesus used parables, while also living differently from the world. Lot’s story warns us of the danger of blending in rather than standing out as God’s people. Lot settled in Sodom but did not shine as a light of righteousness. The men of the city did not see him as different, his sons-in-law did not take his warnings seriously, and even Lot himself lingered when it was time to flee destruction.
The question for us today is: What is keeping us in Sodom?
