Advancing the Kingdom: We are Unstoppable 6

Rev. Dr. Tunde Oladimeji challenges the congregation to move beyond seeing worship as just a Sunday routine and instead embrace it as a daily way of life. Worship, he explains, is the heartbeat of our relationship with God, and it must permeate everything we do—from our church services to our daily responsibilities.
He defines worship as ascribing ultimate worth or value to something. When we worship God, we declare that He holds supreme value in our lives. Drawing from Romans 12:1, he urges believers to present their bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, as the truest form of worship.
“If we don’t worship the true God,” he warns, “we will worship something else—whether it’s ourselves, our careers, or material things.”
Key Points:
• Worship is essential, not optional.
• True worship transforms us—it deepens our communion with God and aligns our hearts to His will.
• Worship is not confined to a building or schedule; it is meant to infuse every part of life: work, rest, relationships, and service.
• The church is called to be a worshiping community, like yeast in dough or a mustard seed, placed by God to grow, influence, and expand His kingdom.
• Every act—big or small—should be offered to God as a holy and acceptable sacrifice.
Application Challenge:
Dr. Oladimeji ends by encouraging the congregation to listen to God’s prompting. He believes that God is calling someone to step forward and use their gifts through the church to impact the world. Now is the time to act—to surrender everything as an act of worship.
